Around 10:30 a.m. today (July 18), a citizen discovered a person floating face down in the waters near Amnam-dong, Seo-gu, Busan, and reported it to 119 emergency services.

The woman in her 60s, rescued by the Busan Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters, was transported to a hospital in a state of cardiac arrest but later died.

The Busan Coast Guard is currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
