A fire has broken out at a logistics center in Incheon, prompting fire authorities to issue an emergency alert and begin suppression efforts.
At approximately 6:54 a.m. today, a report was filed with 119 regarding a fire on the 6th floor of the Coupang 32 Logistics Center in Seoknam-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon.
While no casualties have been reported so far, 121 people, including logistics center staff, have evacuated on their own.
As black smoke billowed from the building, 27 reports were made to fire authorities in succession.
At approximately 9:15 a.m., two hours and 21 minutes after the fire began, fire authorities issued a Level 1 response, which mobilizes all personnel from the local fire station.
Fire authorities have deployed 219 personnel, including firefighters, and 79 pieces of equipment, such as pump trucks, to extinguish the blaze.
The authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire once the suppression operation is complete.
