A collision between a bus and a passenger car on a rain-slicked road in Gangneung this morning (July 18) left 4 people seriously injured.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:02 a.m. today in Seokgyo-ri, Sacheon-myeon, Gangneung-si, Gangwon Province, when a 25-passenger bus and a car traveling in opposite directions collided.

Following the impact, the bus overturned. Six of the 12 passengers on board managed to escape on their own, while the remaining 6 were rescued by emergency responders.

The 2 occupants of the passenger car also evacuated the vehicle on their own.
