The U.S. Central Command, which oversees military operations against Iran, announced that it conducted further airstrikes targeting Iran on July 17 (local time).
On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Central Command stated, "At 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, we began airstrikes against Iran for the seventh consecutive night."
3:00 p.m. Eastern Time corresponds to 10:30 p.m. in Tehran, the capital of Iran.
The command added, "These strikes were planned under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief to continuously degrade Iran's military capabilities."
The U.S. military has been conducting nightly airstrikes on Iran every day since July 11, and also carried out strikes during the day on July 15.
In addition, Central Command reported that since 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on July 14, when it resumed a maritime blockade on vessels traveling to and from Iranian ports and coasts, it has diverted four ships, neutralized one, and conducted a boarding inspection on another over the past three days.
