Police are investigating after a couple in their 40s and their two children were found dead at an apartment in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province.

Police and fire authorities received a report at approximately 12:55 p.m. today (July 17) that a couple in their 40s had fallen from an apartment building in Yonghyeon-dong, Uijeongbu.

The couple was transported to a hospital but later died.

Subsequently, while checking the family's residence, police and fire authorities discovered that the couple's 12-year-old and 8-year-old children were also dead.

Police are currently searching the scene for any evidence related to the incident, such as a suicide note.

Authorities are also investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the case.
