[Video] A vehicle fire broke out inside Daegwallyeong Tunnel 4 on the Yeongdong Expressway in the direction of Gangneung at approximately 11:50 a.m. today (July 17), prompting fire authorities to issue a Level 2 response and conduct firefighting operations.

The fire is understood to have started in an SUV following a collision involving four vehicles in a row.

It has been reported that all drivers of the involved vehicles evacuated, and there are no casualties.

According to the initial search results by fire authorities, it has been confirmed that there are no other vehicles trapped inside the tunnel besides the vehicles involved in the accident.
