A man in his 60s has died after being electrocuted while installing an electric fence to keep out wild animals in a cabbage field in Hamyang, Gyeongsangnam-do.

According to the Gyeongsangnam-do Fire Department and other authorities, the man, identified as A, was found collapsed in a cabbage field in Baekjeon-myeon, Hamyang-gun, by his family at approximately 1:00 p.m. yesterday, who then reported the incident to the police.

When the 119 emergency rescue team arrived at the scene, A was already deceased.

Police and fire authorities believe that A was electrocuted while installing or repairing the electric fence intended to prevent wild animals from entering the field, and they are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
