A fire broke out at a plywood manufacturing factory in Inju-myeon, Asan, South Chungcheong Province, at approximately 7:20 a.m. today (July 17).

The fire left two factory employees with burns, while another employee suffered an ankle injury while evacuating. All three were transported to a hospital.

Upon receiving the report, fire authorities deployed 24 pieces of equipment and 56 personnel, successfully extinguishing the blaze in about an hour.

Authorities believe the fire started in a plywood manufacturing machine and are currently investigating the exact cause of the incident.
