On the night of July 8, a fire broke out at a multi-family house in Daejeon. When the fire department arrived at the scene after receiving the report, intense flames and thick black smoke were pouring out of the building.

At that moment, a Vietnamese woman and her one-year-old child were calling for help from a third-floor window. The situation was so urgent that there was no time to wait for an air mattress to be set up due to the soaring flames.

Firefighters spread out a blanket to catch the child first, and the mother was subsequently rescued safely. Let us look at the decisions and responses made at the scene that saved a life amidst the fire.
