The Highway Patrol of the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency conducted a crackdown on illegal cargo truck activities at the Naechon Tollgate on the Capital Region Second Ring Expressway between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. today (July 16).

The operation was carried out to detect violations such as the removal of speed limiters, improper loading, and illegal modifications of leaf springs.

During the two-hour operation, police inspected a total of 43 vehicles and caught 9 instances of illegal activity.

The police stated that minor infractions were addressed with on-site warnings, while serious violations of safety standards will be subject to administrative measures, including orders for restoration to original conditions.
