Minister of the Interior and Safety Yoon Ho-jung delivered a public statement today (July 16) at the Government Complex Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul, regarding the eradication of internal corruption in police investigations and the strengthening of democratic control. Regarding the Jang Yoon-gi case, in which police cover-ups and inadequate investigations were revealed, Minister Yoon stated, "We will boldly cut out the rot within the police and fundamentally rectify the system so that there will never again be victims who suffer unfairly."
