The identity of 24-year-old Jung Jae-hwan, who murdered his friend with a weapon and walked the streets naked while covered in blood, was made public today (July 16).

The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency stated that it decided to disclose Jung's personal information, citing the brutality of the crime, the severity of the damage, and the fact that sufficient evidence has been secured.

Jung was arrested by police on charges of stabbing his friend to death multiple times at an apartment in Hayang-eup, Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk, in the early hours of July 4. He was referred to the prosecution two days ago.
