The Coast Guard is conducting a search operation after a person fell into the sea in Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do.
According to the Tongyeong Coast Guard, a report was received at approximately 5:30 p.m. yesterday (July 15) stating that a person had been seen falling into the water from the Old Geoje Bridge in Yongnam-myeon, Tongyeong.
The Coast Guard immediately dispatched three patrol vessels and other assets to the scene and is currently searching the waters around the Old Geoje Bridge.
The identity of the person who fell has not yet been confirmed.
The Coast Guard plans to continue rescue operations by expanding the search area while identifying the missing person through the analysis of nearby CCTV footage and witness statements.
