President Lee Jae-myung expressed his appreciation to Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Young-hoon today (July 15), stating, "It is a relief, and you have done a great job. Thank you," regarding the news that the number of industrial accident deaths in the first half of this year reached an all-time low since statistics were first compiled in 2022.
On his social media account, President Lee shared a link to a news article featuring the statistics and wrote, "The efforts of one minister named Kim Young-hoon have saved hundreds of lives."
However, President Lee also urged for continued vigilance, adding, "We must reduce the numbers further. Still, too many people are dying."
