Actor Choi Kang-hee has publicly appealed for help regarding stalking.
On the 15th, Choi Kang-hee stated on her social media, "I am leaving this explanation because this is a post that everyone can see. I checked a letter yesterday that said if I did not leave a post, they would take it as consent and follow my car. I also realized that this is the person who spoke to me a few days ago."
"I will not reveal the name. Do not follow me. No response is also a refusal," she stated firmly. She repeatedly urged, "I hope you understand that attempting conversation without consent, waiting for me, and following me is stalking. I hope you realize that even if the action is without malice, it is an action that causes psychological fear."
Finally, Choi Kang-hee requested, "I can no longer accept letters and gifts sent to the broadcasting station. Please deliver them through my agency or fan club." She added, "Due to the recent ongoing events, I have even had nightmares that are not normal and cannot distinguish reality. I ask for your prayers and cooperation."
Choi Kang-hee is currently preparing to return to acting after a long hiatus. She is scheduled to return to the stage as an actor after 5 years through the play "Closer" this coming September.
Previously, Choi Kang-hee appeared on comedian Lee Sung-mi's YouTube channel released on the 13th, where she revealed that she had gone through a psychologically difficult time that led her to stop acting for a while. She shared that after stopping her acting career, she experienced a normal daily life by cleaning the houses of Song Eun-i and Kim Sook or working part-time washing dishes at a BBQ restaurant. She also revealed that she had even considered working at a mask factory during the COVID-19 pandemic.
