A duet performance by Lim Young-woong and Roy Kim has been teased.
On the episode of SBS's 'Sangol Bachelor Hero' (Mountain Village Bachelor Hero) that aired on July 14, the new 'Sang-chong-gak' (Mountain Bachelor) team created precious memories together.
In the episode, the new members played a ping-pong match after their meal, with the loser having to jump into a cold valley stream. Lim Young-woong and Roy Kim teamed up as 'Team Attack on Titan,' while Heo Kyung-hwan, Kwak Bum, and Nucksal formed 'Team Welsh Corgi' to compete.
In the first round, Lim Young-woong and Roy Kim easily defeated Team Welsh Corgi, represented by Heo Kyung-hwan and Kwak Bum. For the second round, Nucksal stepped in to replace Kwak Bum.
Nucksal and Heo Kyung-hwan narrowly missed victory in the second round, leading to a final win for Lim Young-woong and Roy Kim and confirming that Team Welsh Corgi would have to jump into the stream.
Nucksal and Kwak Bum took turns jumping into the water. Kwak Bum, a former Marine, ambitiously jumped in claiming he would show off his combat swimming skills. However, he only ended up splashing around in the shallow water, drawing laughter.
Roy Kim, also a former Marine, followed suit. Like Kwak Bum, he showcased his own brand of comedic combat swimming, causing an explosion of laughter.
Pork was once again on the menu for the 'Sang-chong-gak' team's dinner that day. They decided to differentiate their meal from previous ones by preparing grilled pork back ribs with salt and braised pork back ribs.
Heo Kyung-hwan also attempted to make a rolled omelet. However, the more he worked on it, the stranger its shape became. Seeing this, Nucksal asked, "Are you going to move that monster over here?" and Roy Kim added, "It's a colony, a colony," joining in the fun.
The grilled and braised pork back ribs turned out better than expected. When paired with 'somaek' (a mixture of soju and beer) prepared by Lim Young-woong himself, the members could not stop expressing their admiration. Despite its appearance, Heo Kyung-hwan's rolled omelet also tasted excellent, satisfying everyone.
Roy Kim, who mentioned he does not drink often, said, "I almost always abstain from alcohol on days I have to sing. I had a drink today because I thought I didn't have to sing."
He continued, "If I drink alcohol, I can't sing properly. My voice drops by half an octave. In severe cases, it drops by a full octave."
In response, Heo Kyung-hwan expressed his disappointment, saying, "We have great singers here, and it would be a privilege in my life if these talented younger brothers performed live. But you're not going to do it because you drank today? Isn't that a bit much?"
Nucksal then retorted, "But we aren't your subordinates, hyung," which drew more laughter.
Meanwhile, at the end of the broadcast, a scene showing Lim Young-woong and Roy Kim rehearsing a duet version of "Melody for You," a song Roy Kim wrote for Lim Young-woong, was shown, raising anticipation for the full performance to be revealed next week.
