The roster for the Taiwan national baseball team, which will compete against our national team for the championship at the Nagoya Asian Games, was unveiled yesterday.

Wang Yen-cheng, who plays for Hanwha, has been included, and seven players who participated in this year's WBC have also been named to the squad.

The Chinese Taipei Baseball Association announced that it has finalized its Asian Games entry, consisting of eight overseas-based players, including Hanwha's Wang Yen-cheng, five players from the domestic professional league, and 11 industrial league players.

Wang Yen-cheng, who joined Hanwha this year and has been performing exceptionally well with 7 wins in the first half of the season, is highly likely to serve as a key starting pitcher.

Hanwha, having previously received a request from the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association to call up Wang Yen-cheng, plans to cooperate with the request.

In addition, seven players from the WBC national team have been called up again for the Asian Games, including hard-throwing pitchers Lin Yu-min, Sun Yi-lei, and Hsu Le-hsi who play in Japan, as well as Oakland minor leaguer Tsung-Che Chang and Boston outfielder Tsung-Che Cheng.
