Roy Kim has revealed the reason behind his decision to join the Marine Corps.
On the July 14 episode of the SBS show "High Valley, Top Hero," the connections between the new "San-chong-gak-z" members were unveiled.
During the broadcast, the new members shared details about their friendships. Nucksal and Roy Kim, who had already built a rapport through the show, spoke to each other informally for the first time.
Roy Kim and Kwak Beom also drew attention by revealing that they became close through their shared Marine Corps background and even stay in touch privately.
When Nucksal asked Roy Kim what led him to join the Marine Corps, Roy Kim joked, "The Marine Corps is in my DNA... When I came out of my mother's womb, instead of saying 'Mom,' I came out yelling 'A-ak!'" causing everyone to burst into laughter.
In response, Nucksal remarked, "I've heard people say he's strange, but he's truly strange," while Kwak Beom drew a line by saying, "Usually, the junior should avoid the senior, but this is a situation where the senior has to avoid the junior."
Hearing this, Roy Kim continued his stream-of-consciousness conversation by saying, "The Marine Corps is in my blood," which brought more laughter to the set.
