The unpredictable and clumsy emotional journeys of people who have never dated are once again bringing about a delightful disaster.
On July 14, the Netflix reality series 'I've Never Dated, But I Want to Date' Season 2 (hereinafter 'Solo Dating 2') will release episodes 5 and 6, featuring the stories of young people who are beginning to wander through the maze of love, caught between the thrill of the unknown and anxiety.
'Solo Dating 2' is a makeover dating reality show that follows the first dating attempts of people with zero romantic experience but sky-high expectations, drawing empathy and unsolicited advice from viewers. Since its premiere on July 7, the clumsy yet pure and unpredictable actions of the participants have perfectly captured the attention of viewers, leading to an enthusiastic response. Adding to the entertainment are the sharp remarks and commentary from the 'Some Makers'—Seo In-guk, Kang Han-na, Lee Eun-ji, and Car, the Garden—who are more invested in the participants' love lives than anyone else.
In episodes 5 and 6, which will be released today, situations will unfold that instantly shatter the resolve of Car, the Garden, who had promised to "try to understand" the participants. The sight of the participants struggling to read each other's true feelings despite mustering the courage to flirt and engage in clumsy push-and-pull games is expected to draw sighs from the panelists.
In particular, a turbulent love triangle is teased, which pushes Car, the Garden to his limit, leading him to exclaim, "Who do you think you are?" As the participants' top and second choices become entangled and their interests shift in real-time, unexpected choices and emotional upheavals are set to occur.
Director Kim No-eun, who is in charge of the production, piqued curiosity by pointing to "the reed-like participants whose hearts change constantly, and the chaos surrounding the 'Some House'" as key points to watch. Co-director Won Seung-jae also expressed strong confidence, stating, "You might feel that it's not the taste you're used to. However, the seasoning of 'love' has been added, making it even more flavorful. You will be able to feel a deeper taste of love than in Season 1."
'Solo Dating 2' will be released globally on Netflix every Tuesday, with episodes 5 and 6 arriving today (July 14), followed by episodes 7 and 8 on July 21, and episodes 9 and 10 on July 28.
