During a recent live broadcast, Mingyu shared his concerns while communicating with fans, mentioning dangerous situations he has encountered at airports. He stated, "Lately, order has been disappearing at airports. I was moving after getting off a plane, and there was an elderly gentleman in front of me. If people don't look ahead while walking, someone could really get hurt."

Mingyu continued, "Of course, I enjoy seeing Carats (Seventeen's fandom), and Carats enjoy seeing me. We have a relationship where we love each other very much. However, for others to view us positively and acknowledge us, we need to do better. Yesterday was really severe, and I almost got hurt. Wouldn't anyone be upset if people follow them without looking ahead until the very end?" he said, expressing his frustration.

In particular, Mingyu repeatedly emphasized that fans should not cause inconvenience to general passengers at the airport, as it is not a space reserved solely for celebrities and their fans.

He pointed out, "There are general passengers at the airport, aren't there? We need to respect those boundaries so that people can think, 'They look good together. They look happy.' How much of a nuisance is it to scream and act in a disorderly manner at the airport?"

Previously, Mingyu was captured on camera asking some fans who were crowding him to take photos with their phones to "please" keep their distance.

Beyond Seventeen, airports have recently seen a series of minor and major clashes as crowds of fans and photographers flock to see celebrities during their arrivals and departures. Critics point out that this is threatening the safety of general passengers and airport staff. As airport congestion continues to occur, there are consistent calls for celebrities to be allowed to use separate entry and exit passages.
