The incident occurred while a group of about 50 children from a taekwondo gym were visiting for a water play outing.

A, who was found face down in the water while wearing a life jacket, briefly regained a pulse after receiving CPR, but she eventually passed away at the hospital on Sunday, July 12.
The accident took place in a 1.2-meter-deep section of the indoor wave pool, where the water depth gradually increases.

Based on witness statements that there was vomit on A's life jacket, the police are conducting an autopsy. Meanwhile, they have booked the taekwondo gym instructor in charge and the water park safety personnel on charges of professional negligence resulting in death and are currently investigating the case.
At the same water park, a report was filed with 112 at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, alleging that an adult had sexually molested children.

Police dispatched to the scene arrested the man in his 30s in the act, and three child victims have been identified so far.
The police are considering requesting an arrest warrant for the man on charges of indecent act by compulsion against a minor under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes.
