Two teenage males have been apprehended by police for luring a middle school student to their residence and producing sexual exploitation material.

The Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced today (July 13) that they arrested A (19) and B (19) in the act at a building in Gwanak-gu at approximately 8:21 p.m. on July 11, on charges of statutory rape of a minor and production of sexual exploitation material under the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles against Sexual Abuse.

At the time, police received a report from the victim's family stating that the victim was being held captive somewhere. The police located the suspects through an analysis of communication records and CCTV tracking.

The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the crime based on evidence seized at the scene.

However, the investigation concluded that the charge of confinement does not apply.

The police plan to request arrest warrants for the suspects this afternoon.
