At approximately 1:58 a.m. today (July 13), a report was received that a wild boar was running in the opposite direction of traffic on the Second Beltway in Maewol-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju, South Jeolla Province.

Authorities captured one wild boar that was limping after colliding with a vehicle in the first lane of the road.

A report was also received at approximately 8:48 p.m. yesterday that a wild boar had appeared in the same area; authorities were dispatched to the scene and discovered and removed a wild boar that was already dead.

Authorities plan to hand over the carcass of the dead wild boar to the competent district office, and the captured wild boar will be turned over to a wildlife capture team.
