A man has been arrested by police for posting messages online threatening to kill President Lee Jae-myung.

The Seoul Hyehwa Police Station announced today (July 13) that it arrested a man in his 20s, identified as A, on July 8 on charges of attempted intimidation.

A is accused of posting the same threatening message on his social media account five times on July 6.

The police, who tracked down and identified the author of the posts, plan to refer A to the prosecution soon.
