A fire broke out at a restaurant on the basement level of an office building in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, at approximately 10:25 a.m. today (July 13).

Due to the fire, 45 people, including restaurant staff and customers, evacuated the building on their own. One man in his 60s was transported to a hospital after inhaling smoke.

The fire was fully extinguished after about two and a half hours, having burned parts of two commercial units.

Police and fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the property damage.
