Tom Kim has significantly improved his position in the Official World Golf Ranking after securing his first PGA Tour victory in 33 months.

In the world rankings released today (July 13), Kim moved up from 66th place last week to 33rd, with an average of 3.20 points.

Kim ended his winless drought and shed tears of joy after claiming the title at the Genesis Scottish Open, which concluded earlier today.

He had been struggling with a slump for some time following his victory at the Shriners Children's Open in October 2023.

Kim's world ranking, which had fallen as low as 107th in January of this year, began to rebound starting with his solo third-place finish at the major U.S. Open tournament in June.

Kim Si-woo, who tied for 9th at the Scottish Open, moved up one spot from last week to 21st in the world rankings.

Matt Fitzpatrick (England), who tied for 3rd in the tournament, moved up to 3rd place, pushing Cameron Young (USA) down to 4th.

Scottie Scheffler (USA) remained at No. 1, and Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) stayed at No. 2, both unchanged from last week.
