A worker in his 60s has died after falling from a ladder while demolishing the interior of a restaurant, prompting a police investigation.

The Incheon Metropolitan Fire & Safety Headquarters reported that at approximately 1:20 p.m. on July 11, a man in his 60s, identified as A, fell from a ladder 3 meters high at a restaurant in Namdong-gu, Incheon.

A, who sustained severe injuries in the accident, was transported to a hospital while receiving CPR but ultimately passed away.

It is reported that A was engaged in interior demolition work at the restaurant at the time of the incident.

The police plan to determine the exact cause of A's death and investigate whether safety regulations were violated by the person in charge of safety management.
