The Navy announced that the body of a sailor who went missing from a naval frigate near the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the East Sea yesterday (July 12) was discovered at approximately 5:58 a.m. today, about 52 km east of Geojin-eup, Goseong-gun, in the East Sea.

The sailor was reportedly last seen by a crew member on duty who was conducting internal patrols between midnight and 2 a.m. yesterday, and the disappearance was discovered at 8 a.m. that morning.
