This happened at a jewelry store in London, England.

A male customer, who was browsing the products, suddenly puts something into his mouth.

In an absurd turn of events, he swallowed a diamond ring worth approximately 70 million won.

Afterward, he continued to browse other rings as if nothing had happened and attempted to leave the store, but he was caught by staff who had sensed something suspicious.

At the time, the man reportedly denied the theft, telling the staff to search his pockets.

However, after the staff checked the CCTV footage, he eventually stuck his fingers down his throat, regurgitated the swallowed ring, and returned it.

He was arrested by the police the following day.
