Heat-related illnesses have been reported consecutively as the heatwave continues in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. today (July 12), an 80-year-old man was found in a weakened state while driving an electric mobility scooter on a street in Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province, and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The man was diagnosed with a heat-related illness and is reported to have regained consciousness and stable breathing after receiving medical treatment.

In Daegu, four people suffering from heat-related illnesses were transported to hospitals by fire authorities over the two-day period from July 11 to today.

All of them were treated for symptoms of heat exhaustion, and it is reported that their lives are not in danger.
