A man in his 60s has been arrested by police for stabbing an acquaintance to death on the street.

The suspect, identified as A, is accused of attacking another man in his 60s with a weapon in an alleyway in Guro-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul, at around 7:00 a.m. today (July 12).

The victim was transported to a hospital but passed away while receiving treatment.

A fled the scene immediately after the crime but was apprehended by police as a suspect caught in the act about 30 minutes later.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident based on the claim by A that he and the victim were acquaintances.
