Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform Party, has raised suspicions regarding the People Power Party's involvement in the staged terror incident by Jeong I-han, a former Reform Party candidate for Busan mayor.
In a Facebook post late last night (July 11), Lee stated, "Jeong I-han is someone who worked as an aide for the People Power Party," adding, "I do not know if people are acting like moths to a flame because they know who in the People Power Party orchestrated this during the election."
He continued, "It is not that I do not know who in the People Power Party approached Jeong I-han and planted strange ideas in his mind," and warned, "If a certain candidate's camp made strange proposals to Jeong I-han, you are finished."
This is an explanation suggesting that the People Power Party, which had proposed a unification of candidates to Jeong during the Busan mayoral election process, may have influenced the staged terror incident.

Jeong had claimed he was the victim of a beverage-related terror attack during the Busan mayoral election, but it was later revealed to be a staged act, and he was arrested on July 8.
Previously, People Power Party lawmaker Joo Jin-woo stated on July 10, "It is said that he already confessed to the staged terror during police questioning last May," adding, "However, the police hid the fact of his confession until the election was over, and Jeong completed his campaign while wearing a fake neck brace and pretending to be a victim of terror."
