The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced today (July 12) that they will launch the 4th round of the 2026 Emergency Support Voucher program, worth 5 billion won, to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and middle-market companies facing trade difficulties due to high exchange rates and export controls by major countries.

The export voucher program is an initiative that issues virtual coupons funded by government subsidies and corporate contributions, allowing companies to select and utilize the services they need.

The voucher amount ranges from 20 million won to 150 million won per company, depending on the industry and the scale of annual revenue.

The Ministry and KOTRA will provide support for a total of 12 months, retroactive to service usage costs incurred since February of this year, through January 2027.

Specialized services have also been prepared to help companies resolve their difficulties.

A new advance payment support system for exchange rate fluctuation insurance has been established to help export companies, which are facing increased raw material import costs and currency risk burdens due to the high exchange rate, proactively respond to volatility.

As a result, it will be possible to settle costs even if the expiration date of the exchange rate fluctuation insurance falls after the voucher agreement date.

In addition, the usage limit for trade insurance and guarantee service vouchers has been increased from 10 million won to 20 million won.

For export companies facing trade regulations and strengthened strategic material controls from major countries, professional consulting services regarding response strategies and risk management will be provided.

The application period for the program runs until the 21st of this month, and related information can be found on the Export Voucher website (www.exportvoucher.com).
