Korean-American golfer Chan Kim remains in contention for the title after finishing the third round of the PGA Tour ISCO Championship (total prize money of $4 million) in a tie for third place.
On July 12 (KST), Kim carded a 2-under-par 68 in the third round at the Hurstbourne Country Club (par 70) in Louisville, Kentucky, recording four birdies and two bogeys.
With a total score of 13-under-par 197, Kim is chasing leader Lucas Glover (15-under-par 195) by two strokes, keeping his bid for his first career PGA Tour victory alive.
Prior to this tournament, Kim had competed in eight events this year, finishing outside the top 20 in all of them.
After a difficult start with consecutive bogeys on the 3rd and 4th holes, Kim rebounded with birdies on the 7th (par 5) and 9th (par 3) holes to maintain his score. He then added birdies on the 10th (par 5) and 18th (par 4) holes to stay in the hunt near the top of the leaderboard.
French-Korean golfer Jeong Weon Ko, who had performed well to sit in a tie for 4th place through the second round, struggled with three birdies and four bogeys for a 1-over-par 71. He slipped to a tie for 18th place with a total score of 9-under-par 201.
