Damaged vehicles remain in the middle of the road.
At approximately 6:10 a.m. today, a K5 sedan crossed the center line on the Wanggil Overpass in Geomdan-gu, Incheon, and collided head-on with an oncoming Malibu sedan.
The impact pushed the Malibu into the second lane, where it was struck by a following vehicle.
[Witness: The extent of the damage to the vehicles was severe. You could barely tell what kind of cars the K5 and the Malibu were.]
Three people—the 20-something male driver of the K5, a 40-something male passenger in the same vehicle, and the 40-something male driver of the Malibu—were transported to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries.
Although traffic was light during the early morning hours, both directions of the road were completely closed for approximately two hours.
The police plan to request blood analysis from the National Forensic Service to determine whether the drivers involved were under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Around 2:30 p.m., a five-vehicle collision occurred inside the Godeok Tunnel on the Sejong-Pocheon Expressway in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province.
An SUV driven by a person in their 60s rear-ended a sedan, triggering a chain reaction that involved two additional vehicles in front.
The struck sedan only came to a stop after colliding with another vehicle in the adjacent lane.
One passenger in the sedan died, and eight others were transported to the hospital.
Police have determined that the SUV driver in their 60s was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and are investigating the exact circumstances, suspecting that the driver failed to properly monitor the road ahead.
