At approximately 1:20 p.m. today (July 11), emergency services received a report that a hiker in their 20s was showing symptoms of heat exhaustion on Jangjado Island in Okdo-myeon, Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do.

The hiker, who experienced heat exhaustion and hyperventilation due to the hot weather, was transported to a hospital via a firefighting helicopter. Fortunately, it was reported that their life is not in danger.
