The entire country is experiencing sweltering, stifling heat.

Heat wave advisories have been expanded and strengthened, with heat wave warnings now in effect for the southern Gyeonggi, Jeonbuk, and Yeongnam regions.

Currently, temperatures have reached 31°C (88°F) in Seoul and 34°C (93°F) in Daegu. Temperatures are expected to climb further, reaching 34°C (93°F) in Seoul and 36°C (97°F) in Daegu.

Due to high humidity, the perceived temperature will feel even more intense.

As there are concerns regarding heat-related illnesses, it is advised to avoid outdoor activities during the daytime.

Solar radiation will also be strong across the country.

Please remember to carry a hat or a parasol when going out.

Additionally, you should be cautious of high concentrations of ozone during the afternoon hours.

Showers are expected in parts of the Chungcheong and Jeonbuk regions until this afternoon (July 11), while rain will continue in Jeju until tomorrow night.

As for detailed daytime temperatures, Jeonju and Gangneung are expected to reach around 35°C (95°F).

Next Wednesday, a stationary front is expected to move southward, bringing monsoon rain across the country.
