Defending champion Jannik Sinner (No. 1, Italy) defeated Novak Djokovic (No. 8, Serbia) in a dominant performance to reach the final of the 2026 Wimbledon Championships (total prize money of 64.2 million pounds).

His opponent in the final will be French Open champion Alexander Zverev (No. 3, Germany).

On July 10 (local time), Sinner defeated Djokovic 3-0 (6-4, 6-4, 6-4) in the men's singles semifinal held at the All England Club in London, England.

The 39-year-old Djokovic was unable to find an answer and lost the match in 2 hours and 20 minutes.

In the earlier match, Zverev ended the fairy-tale run of wildcard entrant Arthur Fery (No. 114, Great Britain).

Zverev won 3-0 (7-6<7-0>, 6-2, 6-4) in 2 hours and 14 minutes.

With these results, the final is set between last year's Wimbledon winner Sinner and this year's French Open champion Zverev.

Sinner, who has reached his seventh career major final, will be vying for his fifth title.

Zverev had never advanced past the round of 16 at Wimbledon before, but this time he has surged all the way to the final.

In their career head-to-head record, Sinner leads significantly with 10 wins and 4 losses, including a recent nine-match winning streak.

However, the two have only faced each other on hard or clay courts so far, and this will be their first encounter on grass.
