A five-vehicle collision occurred near the Seoul Tollgate on the Seoul-bound Gyeongbu Expressway in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, at around 7:00 p.m. today (July 10).

As a result of the accident, a man in his 40s driving an SUV sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.

Police believe the chain-reaction collision occurred when a passenger car traveling in the second lane attempted to avoid a vehicle ahead and changed lanes into the third lane amidst heavy traffic.

The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
