Eom Ji-sung, who stepped onto the World Cup stage for the first time in his life at the 2026 North and Central America World Cup, shared his thoughts on finishing the tournament and behind-the-scenes stories from the matches.

Eom revealed that the decisive cross he delivered to Cho Gue-sung during the match against Mexico was a pre-planned play. He also mentioned that he received a lot of help from Kim Min-jae and Lee Gi-hyeok while adjusting to an unfamiliar defensive role.

Eom, who said he learned about training and mindset while staying by Son Heung-min's side during the World Cup, also expressed his determination to lead his younger teammates as a wild card for the Asian Games.
