The monsoon rain is expected to continue until this afternoon, July 10, before tapering off.

Looking at the current radar imagery, the stationary front is moving northward, with rain falling only in parts of the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province.

A heavy rain advisory has been issued for the southern part of Gyeonggi Province as a band of intense red rain clouds has developed.

Until this afternoon, between 5 and 60mm of rain is expected to fall in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Jeju regions before stopping.

This monsoon season has brought heavy downpours exceeding 200mm, particularly in the Chungcheong region.

Even though the monsoon rain is entering a lull, it does not mean the monsoon season has ended.

We will need to continue monitoring the atmospheric pressure system over the Korean Peninsula.

Even after the rain stops, you should still carry an umbrella.

There may be sudden, intense showers in various places today.

As hot and humid air moves in, the heatwave is intensifying.

A new heatwave advisory has been issued for the southwestern part of Seoul, and the areas under heatwave warnings have expanded further.

In regions under heatwave advisories today, the perceived temperature will rise above 33°C (91°F), leading to sweltering conditions.

Tomorrow, Saturday, there is a possibility of the first tropical night of the year in Seoul.
