Amid ongoing military clashes between the United States and Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone call on July 9 (local time) and agreed to continue cooperation between the two nations across the Middle East, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office announced.

The Prime Minister's Office added in a statement that President Trump shared updates with Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding U.S. movements in the Persian Gulf.

Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized to President Trump the need for Israel to maintain the buffer zone established along the Lebanese border.

The Prime Minister's Office also explained that he repeatedly highlighted the hostile remarks made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has been fiercely criticizing Israel on the international stage.
