Woori Bank, the team with the most championship titles in women's basketball, is dreaming of rebuilding its legacy after shaking off the slump that left them in 4th place last season. The new head coach, the legendary Jeon Ju-won, ace Kim Dan-bi, and top shooter Kang I-seul, who joined as a free agent, have united to begin preparations for the new season.

Reporter Hong Seok-jun has the story.

Head Coach Jeon Ju-won, who took the helm at Woori Bank this past April after 15 years as a coach, emphasized "iron-clad stamina" by personally leading the physical training from the very first day of team practice.

[Jeon Ju-won/Woori Bank Head Coach: I don't want to have to tell them how to do this or that, so I hope they work hard on their own.]

From the veteran ace Kim Dan-bi...

[Jeon Ju-won/Woori Bank Head Coach: Turn, that's it. Come here, where are you going! You have to touch here! Oh, it's frustrating.]

...to the new arrival Kang I-seul, no one could escape Coach Jeon's "hawk eyes."

[Jeon Ju-won/Woori Bank Head Coach: More, more, more, more! That's it!]

While Coach Jeon is a "tiger teacher" on the court, she is full of affection when looking at Kim Dan-bi, who held the team together firmly over the past two years despite a series of injuries, and Kang I-seul, whom she recruited with such dedication that she visited her home at midnight on the first day of free agent negotiations.

[Jeon Ju-won/Woori Bank Head Coach: I feel so reassured. Dan-bi has suffered a lot carrying the team alone for two years.]

[Kim Dan-bi/Woori Bank Forward: (After Kang I-seul's transfer was confirmed) I said, "We did it, we succeeded. Thank you, Coach. We have achieved something big."]

With the addition of the league's top shooter Kang I-seul, the team expects a synergy effect that will disperse the opposing defense that had been focused solely on Kim Dan-bi.

[Kim Dan-bi/Woori Bank Forward: I think the mental stress will be relieved more than the physical burden.]

[Kang I-seul/Woori Bank Forward: (At KB) I was the oldest, but coming here, there are many older sisters, so it's really great.]

Having built a powerful "one-two punch" to complement the championship DNA of Coach Jeon, who experienced eight titles as a coach, Woori Bank is determined to unite and soar to reclaim the glory of being the team with the most championships.

["Dewdrops" (I-seul) gather, and "Sweet Rain" (Dan-bi) falls. Go Woori Bank!]
