'Spider-Man: Brand New Day,' which is set to premiere in North America, is expected to be a massive box office hit.

According to the international box office analysis outlet 'Box Office Theory,' 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is projected to gross approximately 228 million dollars (about 347.5 billion won) during its opening weekend in North America. If this forecast holds true, it would not only mark the highest opening score among films released in North America in 2026 but also become the second-highest opening performance for a live-action 'Spider-Man' film, following 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' (2021).

Furthermore, according to 'Fandango,' the largest ticket-booking platform in North America, and the international media outlet 'Deadline,' 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' ranked first in ticket sales on its first day of pre-sales in North America in 2026, setting the highest first-day pre-sale record in the last five years. The film industry also estimates that pre-sale revenue in North America has reached approximately 40 million dollars, proving the explosive anticipation for the film even before its release.

In Korea, full-scale ticket reservations opened on Wednesday, July 8, drawing attention to how the film will perform in the domestic market. The previous installment, 'Spider-Man: No Way Home,' released in 2021, attracted 7.55 million viewers despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is an action blockbuster that follows Peter Parker, who has been forgotten by everyone following the events of 'Spider-Man: No Way Home.' As he faces a mysterious enemy who remembers his true identity and struggles with uncontrollable powers caused by a DNA mutation, he must confront new threats to protect those he holds dear. The film will be released in Korea on Wednesday, July 29, ahead of its North American premiere.
