Starbucks, which was recently embroiled in a marketing controversy dubbed "Tank Day," distributed free beverage coupons to its members yesterday (July 8).

With free coffee on the table, consumer reactions are divided over whether to visit the chain or not.

Starting yesterday, Starbucks launched an event offering free coupons for iced beverages to its members, which will run until August 14.

This promotion has drawn significant attention as it follows the recent marketing controversy.

At the time of the controversy, some customers demanded to delete their memberships and requested refunds for their Starbucks cards.

Consequently, the free beverage event has sparked a variety of opinions.

While some welcomed the event, saying, "I should take advantage of the free drink" or "I deleted the app, but I reinstalled it," others remained critical, stating, "I won't go out of my way to visit Starbucks just for one free drink" or "Improving service and brand image should come before coupons."
