A woman in her 40s has been arrested by police on charges of driving while under the influence of drugs.

On July 8, the Seoul Bangbae Police Station announced that they had arrested and were investigating a woman in her 40s, identified as A, for violating the Narcotics Control Act and driving under the influence of drugs in violation of the Road Traffic Act.

At approximately 9:10 a.m. on July 7, A caused a collision while driving near the Isu Station intersection in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu.

Police discovered a large quantity of subdivided narcotics and psychotropic drugs inside A's vehicle.

A rapid drug test conducted on A returned a positive result.

The police are currently investigating how the narcotics and drugs were obtained and are considering requesting an arrest warrant for A.
