It has been confirmed through SBS reporting that the prosecution has summoned and questioned police officers involved in the investigation of Jang Yoon-gi, who murdered a high school girl in Gwangju, as witnesses.

The Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office summoned two police officers from the 'Jang Yoon-gi investigation team' at the Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station today (July 8) for questioning as witnesses.

The prosecution reportedly questioned them to verify facts regarding allegations of missing key evidence and the leakage of investigation secrets that emerged during the investigation following the high school girl murder case, which occurred on May 5.

Previously, the prosecution booked two individuals, including the team leader, Inspector A, on charges such as leaking official secrets and destruction of evidence, and conducted searches and seizures at their offices and residences yesterday.

A pre-arrest interrogation for Inspector A was held at the Gwangju District Court this morning.
