The new women's professional volleyball team SOOP, preparing for its inaugural season, has begun strengthening its roster by signing both a veteran and a promising young player from the free agent market.

The club announced today, July 8, that it has expanded its operational depth by acquiring veteran attacker Jeon Sae-yan and young talent Song Eun-chae.

These signings reflect the vision of inaugural head coach Kim Se-jin, who aims to achieve a balance between youth and experience by securing both immediate contributors and future assets.

Jeon Sae-yan is a seasoned veteran attacker with extensive experience in the V-League.

While playing for the Korea Expressway Corporation, she proved her consistency by scoring in triple digits for six consecutive seasons, from the 2019-2020 season to the 2024-2025 season.

Notably, she showcased her offensive prowess during the 2021-2022 season, recording 225 points.

The club expects Jeon's wealth of experience to bring a sense of stability to the court for the new team.

Song Eun-chae, born in 2006, is a young player who entered the professional stage with the Korea Expressway Corporation after attending Bupyeong Girls' Middle School and Bugae Girls' High School.

Head coach Kim Se-jin, who is accelerating the team's roster construction, expressed his confidence, stating, "For our inaugural season, it is more important than anything to build a squad where experience and ambition are in harmony. Both players bring different strengths, which will provide us with a variety of options for our team's performance."
