Commuters in Seoul are facing disruptions this morning, Wednesday, July 8, as a power outage has caused delays on parts of Seoul Subway Line 1.

Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) reported that a power supply failure occurred on the southbound tracks between Chang-dong Station and Sinimun Station at approximately 7:29 a.m. today. As a result, trains across the entire Line 1 are experiencing delays and irregular service.

KORAIL has temporarily suspended southbound train operations between Dobongsan Station and Cheongnyangni Station while emergency repair work is underway.

A KORAIL official stated, "We are currently investigating the cause of the power supply failure," adding, "We will do our best to normalize operations as quickly as possible."
