The baseball team from Baejae High School visited Gwangju Jeil High School to offer an apology.

With Gwangju Jeil High School responding positively, attention is now focused on whether the heavy disciplinary action imposed on Baejae High School will be adjusted.

Last Monday, students, faculty members, and parents from the Baejae High School baseball team visited Gwangju Jeil High School in person to express their remorse.

A student representative read a handwritten letter of apology, stating that they had realized the importance of character and attitude, and the school also conveyed its sincere apologies.

In response, Gwangju Jeil High School accepted the apology and expressed a desire to engage in fair and competitive matches in the future.

Now, the focus is on whether the 6-month suspension will be adjusted.

Immediately following the controversy over cheering, the Korea Baseball Softball Association imposed a 6-month suspension on the Baejae High School baseball team. However, voices within the baseball community and beyond are arguing that blocking the students' future is excessive.

Gwangju Jeil High School and its alumni association have also released a statement requesting leniency.

Baejae High School has until today to file an appeal with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee.
